Delta Zeta's national philanthropies are the Painted Turtle Camp, The Starkey Hearing Foundation, The House Research Institute, and Gallaudet University.
Last semester the proceeds from bakesales held throughout the year were used to buy hearing aids to put on teddybears that a child receives when they get their first hearing aid!
In the fall semester we hosted Dream Dash in which the funds were donated to the Sean Payton Play It Forward foundation and in the Spring we had our first ever Turtle Tug which was a great success! We raised over $3500 and had a great turn out from members of greek life and the community. We've donated the proceeds to both nationals and to aid the Moore, Oklahoma tornado victims. Locally our chapter has participated in Open Garden Days and worked with the Green Project. We are excited for what our future events bring!
